DMR privacy policy
Last changed 1 November 2026. This covers the game DMR, its demo, and this service, run by Site 9 Games.
The game can send three things here. It sends none of them without you doing or agreeing to something first. This service doesn't store your IP address, and nothing it holds includes your Steam name.
Play data
Only if you say yes when the game first asks, or later in Options, under Data. If you say no, nothing is collected.
- How long you play, the screens you visit, and whether a session ended cleanly (if it didn't, the last of the game's log, with your home folder and user name taken out).
- Your races and challenges: mode, track, car, weapons, lap times, place, how they ended, and where on the map cars were wrecked, got stuck or were reset.
- The campaign: difficulty, starting car, results, purchases and how far you got. Pickups, pit stops and wishlist clicks.
- How the game runs: operating system, processor, graphics card, memory, window size, graphics settings, language, whether a controller is connected, and frame times.
It goes under a random ID made on your computer, shown in Options, under Data, with the version and edition of the game.
Reports
When you send a bug report or feedback from the menus, it goes whatever you answered about play data, because you chose to send it. It holds what you wrote, a way to reach you if you gave one, a screenshot if you left that on, and what the form lists: the game's version, what you were playing and where, your car, your computer and graphics settings, and the last of the game's log, with your home folder and user name taken out. It only carries the random ID if you said yes to play data.
Weekly ranking
If you choose to put a time on the board, the service keeps the racer name you chose, your best time on that board, the game's version and the random ID. Everyone can see the name and the time, not the ID. A name caught by the word filter is replaced.
Why
To find and fix bugs, to see how the game is played and how it runs so it can be improved, and to run the ranking. The legal basis is your consent for play data and the ranking, and your own request for a report. You can take your consent back at any time in Options; it doesn't affect what was sent before, but you can have that deleted too. Nothing is sold or used for advertising.
Who handles it
The service runs on Cloudflare, which stores the data and, like any network, sees your IP address while delivering a request. To stop abuse, this service counts requests per address: it uses a one-way hash of the address, held for about a minute in Cloudflare's memory, and writes neither the address nor the hash to its data. Cloudflare's servers may be outside your country; see Cloudflare's privacy policy. Nobody else gets the data.
How long it's kept
Play data, reports and ranking entries are deleted 12 months after they arrive.
Your rights
To see what's held under your ID, or to have it corrected or deleted, write to privacy@playdmr.com and quote the ID from Options, under Data. A report sent without the ID can be found from what it said and when. If you live in the EU or the UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.
